Warning Lights
Each warning light is a signal that something is wrong with your vehicle. While technology continues to advance each year, so does the ability of your vehicle to self-diagnose itself. With an internal computer system, codes are stored within the memory which triggers a specific light to indicate what isn't functioning properly. Although these warning lights don't pinpoint the exact reasoning as to why a certain component isn't working, a code reader is able to determine what specific part needs attention.
What can go wrong?
Something may go severely wrong in your vehicle without any forewarning. If a warning light begins to flash, it needs immediate attention and may cause internal damage if you continue to drive.
What can you do?
Understand which warning light needs immediate attention or if it can be serviced at a later time. Since every warning light is not universal, check your owner's manual for the specific lights used in your vehicle. Don't expect a warning light to go away on its own; it's better to be safe than sorry and get it diagnosed by a service advisor to avoid irreparable damage.
